Photo Hunt #3: I Spy

photohunters.gif

My entry for this week was taken in Mountain Province in the Philippines. Try to find the famous Hanging Coffins of Sagada.

On these cliffs in Echo Valley, Sagada, perched precariously on the side of the mountain four or five coffins arranged in a pile. The oldest one is more than a century old; the latest addition was added decades ago.

Read more about my Sagada trip here.

Nice picture - I'll get sick if I look at it too long, and I certainly could never handle going there. But it is a very nice picture.

Today I posted the "stories" from last weeks Mad Libs style TT - come by and vote for your favorite if you have time! :-) Oh, and in case you were worried I was able to include your "story" :-)

I've always wanted to go in Sagada but somehow I am always diverted to other places. I shall go before I'm too old to travel :)

might be the odd one left to comment such a week ago theme (I was out of town)
To be honest, i only heard of this place and history while already out of the country (shame, i know). Never been there, but i know my curiousity will take me there someday.

Wow, I wonder what the story is behind that? Who was the first to place a coffin there and why?
